That Friday we down went to Kings Tap to play pool after work. We were about finished with the first game when my phone rang. Soo couldn’t wait until Saturday.
“Hiiiiiiii! I drunk. Where are you?”
“In Sinchon.”
“I drunk.”
“I know. You said that.”
“I want see you.”
I laid down some money and told Josh I was leaving. I got my coat and walked out into the snow. I found her waiting for me across the street. She wore a hip-length white wool coat and jeans.
“What are you doing out here in the snow? Where are your friends?”
“Friends go home. I want see you. I miss you… I know…I know Korean girls easy, you handsome, and Korean girls easy.”
“No, not me. No Korean girls since you. You were the last.”
She was stumbling and hugging me.
“I know… Korean girls very easy…I miss you…I love you.”
“You love me? What time is it? Maybe you should go home.”
“Your house…your house where?”
She slept late in the morning, snoring, and left when I was in the shower. I felt like I was finally getting better at finishing things.
